Patrick Ball

Patrick Ball has held a wide range of positions throughout his professional career in varied industries. Upon graduating from Penn State, he joined The York Bank & Trust Co., starting in the Accounting Department. A move to the Internal Audit Department started his career-long interest in process redesign and improvement, viewing organizations from a global perspective, and as a trusted advisor to management. These themes continued when Patrick moved to The Wolf Organization, Inc. and assumed the role of Director of Internal Audit. As the organization began the implementation of an ERP, Patrick was asked to serve in successive leadership roles from design to testing to implementation to stabilization of the systems and processes they impacted. After serving almost a decade as a Vice President, including VP & Controller, VP of Administrative Services and VP of Corporate Compliance, he moved into healthcare and joined WellSpan Health as Director of Strategic Planning. In this role, Patrick helped set the strategic direction of the organization and consulted with and advised many internal clients on how to support the overall strategic direction of the organization. He led the creation of numerous internal strategic plans for core services and played a key role in the development of WellSpan's newest strategic plan, WellSpan 2020, and was extensively involved in the annual Management and Board retreat involving over 150 participants.

Over the past three years, Patrick has been consulting with select clients on a part-time basis. This experience has covered a wide range of industries including county government, banking, manufacturing, education and the not-for-profit sector.

In addition to his extensive corporate experience, Patrick has deep involvement in the not-for-profit community as a volunteer. He has served as the Chair of the allocations process, a board member and Chair of the Board of Directors of the United Way of York County, where he is still active on the Public Policy and Affiliations Committee. He is currently the Vice Chair of the York Chapter of the American Red Cross Board of Directors and past Chair of the Philanthropy Committee. He also serves on the Embracing Aging Committee of the York County Community Foundation where he formerly served on the Distribution Committee and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the York Academy Regional Charter School.

Patrick holds a BS in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. A life-long resident of York County, he enjoys spending time with his family and do-ityourself home improvement projects.
